Brother Beck was asked to take Bethel Baptist Church after the resignation of Pastor Chris Parker on June 22, 2008. Brother Beck was saved in Bethel Baptist Church in June of 1992 and baptized the following August. Bethel Baptist Church is very dear to Brother Beck and his family. He met his wife Patsy here while they were in the U.S. Navy. Brother Beck and his family have been missionaries to Spain since September of 2001 and have had very close ties with the church throughout the years. He has a desire to see the church grow Spiritually and numerically through strong Biblical preaching and aggressive soul winning.
A word from Brother Beck:
I want to welcome you to the Bethel Baptist Church official website and invite you to look around. I will be adding new pages and events in the future so please visit the site frequently.
Bethel is a very special place to me because it is where I met Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my personal Savior. I was raised in the Methodist Church and was trusting in all that I could do in order to go to Heaven. I praise the Lord that He allowed me to hear the Gospel message and know Him as my Savior.
If you or someone you know will be coming to Rota in the future, I want to encourage you to come and help us serve the Lord. We are an old-fashioned Independent, Fundamental, New Testament Baptist Church that still believes in using the Authorized King James Version of the Bible and practicing Biblical separation.
My desire is to see Bethel grow with the Lord's help and establish New Testament Baptist Churches in nearby towns and cities as the Lord allows. Rota is surrounded by towns and cities that don't have a Gospel witness and I want to give these dear souls an opportunity to hear the Gospel and know Christ as their personal Savior too! We look forward to what the Lord has in store for all of us here. Please pray for us and ask the Lord to give us many souls.
God bless you,
Bro. John
